Who Can I Talk To?
Sometimes it's difficult figuring out who to talk to
on such a large campus! The Career Center is dedicated to quality customer
service, and we are always happy to help you find what you need. You may
want to take a look at some of our frequently asked questions:
- Can I talk to someone IN PERSON about my career-related
questions or choosing a major?
Drop in to the Career Center to get quick career and job search
advice on a walk-in basis:
Monday through Thursday
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
or call us at (408) 924-6031
- Where can I find SJSU's openings for staff positions?
The Human Resources Department
handles staff and faculty positions for San Jose State University.
- Who should I talk to about which classes to take?
Your academic advisor can recommend appropriate courses for your major
and career goals. To find out who your academic advisor is, visit the
website of your current academic
program.
If you are undeclared, see a GE
advisor regarding your GE requirements. While the Career Center
cannot recommend classes you should take, we are glad to help you decide
on a major or career goal. Stop by the Career Center, or check out our
resources on the web, including Self-Assessment,
What Can I Do
with My Major?, and Career
Resources.
