Nearly half of SJSU's students and many of SJSU's alumni connect annually with the Career Center. We have a proven track record for providing quality customer service. The Career Center strives to continually build relationships with the employing community, especially those located in Silicon Valley, and to offer the highest quality services to all our clients.

1. Starting out
Explore your skills, interests and values to discover which careers best fit your talents and motivate you.

• Drop-in career advising gives you the chance to get quick career questions answered and to become familiar with Career Center services.

• Undeclared or curious about other majors? Review our series of major sheets in our office or the Career Planning section of our Web site to get started.
  
• SpartaJOBS, the exclusive online job and internship bank for SJSU students, is a good resource to find leads to make money while you're in school.

2. Researching interests through experience
Apply what you know about yourself and investigate your career options online and offline.

• Career paths may take some time to find. Visit the Research section of our Web site to investigate job titles, industries and more.
• Internships are a great way to get experience to confirm your career interests. Go to an Internship workshop or the Jobs & Internships section of our Web site to learn more and check out SpartaJOBS.
• Professional Network connects you with working professionals who are available for informational interviews.

3. Organizing your job search
Know what you'll do after graduation before you get there. We can help.

• Resumes are an important job search tool. We offer resume critiques during drop-in appointments and workshops to help you get yours in top condition.
  
• Job fairs give you the chance to promote yourself to employers and recruiters each semester. Job search strategy workshops give you the info you need to land the job you want.
  
• SpartaJOBS lists job opportunities-apply for positions online and track every resume you send.
  
• Interview workshops and mock interviews will prepare you to seal the deal.
