- I’m graduating this semester/I graduated last semester, do I need to pay to access the services after graduation?
Recent graduates have access to our self-help services for one semester immediately following graduation. If you graduated in May, you’ll get access through December. If you graduated in December, you’ll get access through May. A membership applicationis required to be entered into the system manually. The complimentary semester may only be used the semester immediately following graduation.
- I graduated one semester ago, do I need to pay to access the services?
Anyone who is not currently registered for 6 or more units at SJSU or another CSU does need to pay a fee to get access to our services. Please visit our Memberships section to see a break down of fees and services associated with each membership.
- What services are included in my membership?
Career Center Membership (complimentary and annual) allows access to self-help job search resources and job-oriented events such as the “Eureka Online” assessment resource, “Choosing a Major Tutorial”, “Perfect Interview” online resource, Resume Workshops, Interview Workshops, Internship Workshops, Job Search Strategies Workshops, Assessment Workshops, Job Fairs and the SpartaJOBS online job search database.
- As an alum or community member, who can I talk to if I want to change careers?
Our one-on-one services are currently reserved for SJSU students. We provide several valuable resources in regards to self-assessment and exploring careers on our website for those who are not currently registered SJSU students. One of these resources is the Exploring Majors & Careers Tutorial.
We have also compiled a database of information regarding community career services that can be accessed by the public. Please view this information on our Counseling Services for Alumni/Community Members page.
- What are my options in regards to graduate school?
We provide several valuable resources, available 24/7, in regards to self-assessment, exploring careers, and grad school on our website. You can access these resources through our What’s Next After Graduation page.
