  • Evaluate what you liked and disliked about your summer, part-time, or full-time jobs that you've held.
  • Keep a log of your skills, values, attributes, and interests.
  • Review the CRL's career planning & self assessment sections for resources on where to get started.
EXPLORE
  • Start building contacts in fields of interest within the Alumni Network, associations and classes.
  • Review the Internship resources in the CRL and on SpartaJOBS, to learn about the requirements and upcoming deadlines.
  • Attend an Internship Week seminar in the fall to hear directly from current students, alumni and other professionals about the internship experience.
  • Research companies and industry trends using Hoovers Online and other resources.
  • Begin checking deadlines and requirements for graduate school admissions.
TAKE ACTION!
  • Update your on-line career profile and post your resume on the Career Center web site.
  • Revise your resume and have it critiqued by a Career Center staff member.
  • Make an appointment with your Career Center Liaison to clarify career objectives and goals.
  • Pick up handouts on interviewing strategies and view videotapes on successful interviewing tips.
  • Attend the spring Job Fair for summer employment and internships.
