Recruiting SJSU Intern & Co-op Talent

You may use a variety of Career Center services to attract, identify, meet and recruit SJSU interns and co-ops:
  1. Internship/Co-op Services
Post your internship and co-op opportunities year-round on SpartaJOBS, San Jose State University's free, password-protected, job and internship bank. Unless you specify otherwise, full-time positions are listed for four weeks and part-time positions for two weeks. Once you post a job, it will go live on the Career Center Web site within one business day and give prospective candidate the opportunity to forward their resumes directly to you.

For additional assistance on posting your opportunity, please contact our Employer Relations Customer Service line, (408) 924-6016.

  2. Gain access to the co-op/intern applicant pool via electronic resume referrals by contacting 408-924-6016. Electronic resume referrals are made on a select basis for those internship and co-op opportunities that provide meaningful learning experiences.

Electronic resume referral requests may be made on an ongoing basis. The largest available pool of candidates registered for Co-op/Internship Services is generally comprised of students majoring in technical and business disciplines. The Resume Referral Service allows you to pre-select candidates in the pool and to invite them to your company site for interviews.

  3. Arrange for on-campus interviews. We recommend that most co-op/internship interviews occur at the company site; however, organizations outside of the local Bay Area may make arrangements to interview on-campus. Please contact 408-924-6019 to schedule a date.

  4. Meet prospective intern and co-op candidates face-to-face. Participate in job fairs and other recruiting events coordinated by the Career Center. For more details check our Job Fairs page or contact the Career Center at 408-924-6031.

  5. Inform the Career Center when you hire a co-op/intern so that he/she may be removed from the active candidate pool and not be referred to other organizations, (408) 924-6016.
