Professional Network

The Career Center maintains an on-line database of several hundred SJSU alumni and other area professionals working in a variety of industries, which we call the Professional Network. All participants have volunteered to share their time, insight, and other valuable information with students. Students can access the Professional Network through their SpartaJOBS account.

Are there any graduates you are particularly proud of? If any of your former students might be interested in participating in the Professional Network, please refer them to our office.

Since many students may feel hesitant about networking with alumni, we have included tips and ideas for contacting alumni and conducting informational interviews.

The Professional Network can enhance your students' learning experience by providing:

• Interviews to students interested in learning about a career field or the career possibilities of an academic major
• Exposure to various work settings and culture
• Feedback from professionals who can share their insight and wisdom
• Prospective professionals for in-class presentations or student club meetings
